I was surprised to get this in a couple of massive chunks, as I expected a bag of little pieces, but this broke up easier than I had expected it would. It powders up easily with a mortar and pestle, and once powdered dissolves in warm water fairly quickly. I did find that when I left it in the mortar overnight it got weird and gummy and would not dissolve nearly as quickly.The taste of this is funny- for just a fraction of the second it has a sweetness on the tongue before shapeshifting into a very bitter substance. It is not pleasant to drink but is doable when considering the potential health benefits incurred.My only qualm with it is that I do wish they would list the exact type of tree (or trees?) that this is extracted from, as the internet gave me a variety of different potential species used when I researched Gond Siyah, some of which had widely varying health benefits from one another.

I got this Gond Siyah to add into my daily routine, and it really feels pure and natural. The texture is clean when crushed, no additives or strange smell. I mix a small amount with warm milk and it blends well. After a few weeks, I feel it supports digestion and general wellness. It’s great knowing it’s plant-based and made in a certified facility.

What an interesting product. I wasn’t familiar so I did some research-this has to be ground either manually or as I did, with a spice grinder. It didn’t really have a scent that I could tell. I dissolved in warm water, sort of eyeballed measurements. I feel like it has a bitter flavor but it wasn’t very strong. Did not cause any GI issues.
